Professional Health and Social Care Regulatory Event 2024

Registration is now Open for this year’s Professional Health and Social Care Regulatory Event.

Jointly run with the health and social care regulatory bodies, the event will take place on Wednesday 6 November 2024, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow City Centre. The theme for this year’s event is The Role of Regulation in the Workforce of the Future and will focus on topics such as upstream regulation, regulatory reform, and Continuous Professional Development. Delegates attending the event will hear from Mr Neil Gray MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care, as he delivers the opening address setting out his ambitions for how regulation can contribute to a stronger, safer and more engaged workforce.

Baroness Helena Kennedy KC will give this year’s keynote speech during the opening session. Baroness Kennedy is one of the country’s most distinguished lawyers, and a leading expert in human rights law, civil liberties and constitutional issues. She is a member of the House of Lords and an honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatry and also a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists.
